Michelle Osborne-Spencer, PA

michelleMichelle was born and raised near Beaumont, Texas. She attended Lamar University and completed her degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in Physician Assistant Studies and received her national board certification as a Physician Assistant in 1986. She has worked in labor and delivery, as well as providing women’s care to many of the clinics UTMB serves throughout Texas. She has practiced medicine in other area offices during this time in the areas of OB/GYN and Family Practice until she rejoined Dr. Spencer when they created Kelliwood Family Practice in 1998 and she and Dr. Spencer have worked together since. “It’s never been an issue to work together as husband and wife”, Michelle states, “because Dr. Spencer and I were trained together and have worked together all along.” Michelle enjoys all aspects of family medicine with an emphasis on preventive health. She believes there is nothing to compare to the joy of watching a patient take charge of their health, stop smoking, lose excess weight and adopt healthy eating habits. She sees the patient as a whole. If we can help patients with chronic conditions to adopt a healthy lifestyle, it reduces the negative effects of disease on the body. This requires a partnership between patient and practitioner, and she is committed to doing her part by educating and encouraging patients to achieve wellness. Michelle has extensive training and experience in the area of aesthetics. Along with Dr. Spencer, she created About Face & Body Medical Spa in 2005 offering a variety of aesthetic treatments. She believes it is important for a patient to take care of themselves from the inside out. It’s comprehensive body wellness.
